HPL Summer Reading Program 2009 -- July 1
SRP

Join the Summer Reading Program!
This summer, kids and teens up to 18 years of age can chill out and enjoy the thrills at the Houston Public Library’s free Summer Reading Program (SRP). Now thru August 1st, they are able to participate in many exciting, entertaining, and educational programs. To register, kids and teens should go online at www.houstonlibrary.org or visit one of Houston’s neighborhood and HPL Express library locations. Online registration is available at www.houstonlibrary.org/summer.

The Houston Public Library’s Summer Reading Program encourages kids and teens to read during the sizzling days of summer to elevate their reading skills in preparation for the next school year.  For more details visit www.houstonlibrary.org or call 832-393-1313.

In addition to their participation in the city’s largest reading program, kids ages 0-12 and teens ages 13-18 will receive some cool incentives (while supplies last) when they read 20 books or read for 20 hours. The more books they read the more prizes they are eligible to win. All participants who read 20 books or more will also be eligible to be entered into the Library’s final drawing for a chance to win major prizes such as a laptop computer, gift cards, a digital camera, and a guest spot on a national radio station.
