This movie is hilarious. It is about a boy named Napoleon Dynamite who is in high school in a small town in Idaho. He is the ultimate underdog but it never seems to faze him and that makes him cool. I can listen to this CD all day. With Jarvis Cocker whispering sweet promises of ruin and debauchery through my car speakers I can't help being seduced by his wicked words. Pulp is Britpop at its best, sounding a little like David Bowie and Elvis Costello with an 80's twist.

This is one of my new favorites because the honest and humorous portrayal of Mexican traditions reminded me of my own childhood. My favorite chapter "Skulls and Quarters" recounts the use of a curandera, witch doctor, to cure the "evil eye" with the power of a chicken egg. This particular chapter took me back to the days when my mom would attempt to "clean" us with eggs. Thanks to the Tequila Worm, I no longer feel weird!
