So when Hannah begrudgingly opens the door to welcome the prophet Elijah, she learns first-hand about the past. This is a very important book to read aloud and discuss with your family. It turned out to be a timely one for me, since unknown to me at the time, I was reading it on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Dr. Seuss & Mr. Geisel : a biography - Judith & Neil Morgan
Publisher: Random House
Check Library Catalog Pub Date: 4/1/1995
ISBN: 9780679416869
ISBN-10: 0679416862
To prepare for the children’s program I was doing to celebrate Green Eggs and Ham turning 50- years-old, I did some research on Theodor Geisel. The children’s biographies gave me some interesting facts and information about the man which were useful in the program, but I wanted to learn still more, hence this book. If you like biographies and learning about people’s lives, try this book. He was quite the character and considered a genius by many.

American theatre audiences of the sixties saw a poorly dubbed and badly edited version of Visconti’s masterpiece and were unimpressed. Thankfully there is this new release which contains a beautifully restored print of the original epic film and the American release for comparison. The difference is startling and after viewing the original film one feels as if a lost masterwork has been brought to light.
