Marvina Bowker Presents A Tribute To Patsy Cline
Monday, May 18
7 - 8:00 p.m.
Audiovisual Theatre
Marvina Bowker

Singer Marvina Bowker remembers Patsy Cline through soulful vocals that bring new depths to tunes ranging from country to classic big band. The audience will be spellbound by Marvina’s warm voice as she interprets a song as only Sinatra could do. She will sing the timeless standards made popular by Cline such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and more.

A biographical history of Cline will be included in this one-hour program. Marvina’s enchanting presence captures audiences and her gracious personality makes her a dream to work with.

Marvina started her career in New Jersey at Albert Hall and has appeared at Atlantic city's Steel Pier. After winning the Ms. National Senior Citizen Talent Division in 1994, she moved to the Joliet area and began singing with T.T. Nelson's Big Band and the Brass Track Jazz Orchestra, among others. Marvina has opened for Anne Murray at the Rialto Theatre, performed numerous times at Earl's Supper Club, the Empress Casino and the Festival of Trees in Joliet.

Art Hellyer of ABC Radio fame said, "The first time I heard Marvina sing I was spellbound. In my 55 years on radio I have never heard a warmer voice...finally a female voice that interprets a song as only Sinatra could do. It has been my pleasure to play at least one song by Marvina on every show I did."

She is purely a “touch of class.” Join us as Marvina sings the songs of a fantastic singer who had an unforgettable voice. If you are interested in engaging Marvina Bowker for one of your functions, please call Marvina Bowker at (815) 476-2870 or e-mail her at canary8521@att.net
