Teens age 12 (by August 31) to age 19 or
Teens going into 7th grade through 12th grade
How does it work?
Sign up at any at any FVRL library or bookmobile and you will be given your first Summer Reading Journal.
Read anything you want, then record your thoughts in your journal. You must sign up for Summer Reading at the library before you log reading time.
When you complete 10 hours of reading, bring your journal to a library staff member who will chat with you about what you read.
Each of your first four completed journals earns you either a $5 book gift card OR an entry into the Grand Prize drawing!
After your first four journals, you can keep reading for additional entries into the Grand Prize drawing.
Journals must be turned in and book gift cards must be claimed by August 31.
