How does it work?
My favorite character is Allie. She starts off as a human but she’s unregistered which means she has to find or steal food and has to live in abandoned buildings. She lives with 3 other people in an abandoned school. She sacrifices herself for one of those people and then a vampire finds her and turns her. She then learns how to be a vampire from Kanin, a vampire master, before setting off on her own and traveling with a group of humans who also think she is human. She helps them get to Eden by fighting off a bunch of rabids. In the book, they mention a lot of stuff that didn’t exist like computers, cars and certain medical equipment. -- Haley B.
Teen Review:
Birdy was my hot topic. He lost members of his squad, was WIA, (wounded in action) and scared out of his mind but he still pushed on. His courage has shown me that anything can happen, good or bad if you strive for it. This book screamed “morals”. You follow the morals through out the book with characters Birdy and Jonesy.-- Zachary W.
Teen Review:
This is the story of what happens when a prince (Edward VI of England) and a pauper meet and decide to trade clothes just for fun. It’s only meant to be for a moment but it turns into a hilarious high-profile case of mistaken identity! The situations the characters find themselves in often had me laughing out loud.-- Jessica J.

Teen Review:
I find Katniss to be an interesting character because she is very clever, independent, and modest. She puts a whole new twist on the story because her personality is very relatable. For example, she can take charge or second guess herself, yet she does so in such a way that is completely real. If you read the first two books in this series, you will love it when all of the hints about the plan to overthrow the capitol fit into place. It will leave you wanting more.-- Nautica H.
